Ignite Amps Free Vst
A couple months back the guys at Ignite Amps released another really good-sounding free amp sim plugin called the Anvil.
Size 5.90 MB / 5.99 MB / 7.15 MB / 7.29 MB Emissary is a digital emulation of a custom dual channel guitar tube amplifier. It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, built for Ryan Huthnance (The Seer / Gaped / Chrome Bison / Emissary Studios) by Ignite Amps, in 2014.
- The Emissary is meant to be used as a virtual guitar amplifier for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support. Ignite Amps 3rd generation triode modeling engine; Dynamic EL34 / 6L6GC / KT88 pentodes/tetrodes analog modeling (push-pull stage).
- Ignite Amps has got several plugins worth checking out, including Emissary, which I felt was deserving of its own space. Their focus is on creating high-detailed simulations of tube and solid-state amps, which gives you a sense of the quality they aspire to.
- GK Amplification 2 LE. Modelled after the Gallien-Krueger MB150 amp, the GK Amplification 2 LE.
It features three independent channels, one for clean, one for rhythm and one for lead.
The sim supports stereo and mono routing and the controls can be automated.
There are 3 oversampling settings (2x, 4x, 8x) and it has a preset manager, although no presets are included.
The Anvil is available in VST, VST3, and AU formats for PC and Mac, both 32 and 64 bit systems are supported.
The Anvil is an amp sim only so you’ll need an IR loader and IRs along with it. Luckily Ignite Amps also offers a free IR loader called NadIR that works great.
Their free SHB-1 tube amp plugin for bass is really good too, and so is their Emissary amp sim. Great sims for metal!
